Caution
The fusing area is very hot.
Do not touch the fusing area when removing the misfed
paper. Severe burns or other injury may occur.
• Do not touch the photoconductive drum (green part)
when removing the paper. The drum may become
damaged or copying flaws may occur.
• Unfused toner may remain on the paper that is
removed. Take care that it does not soil your hands
or clothing.
• In order to avoid exposing the photoconductor drum
to light, do not leave the cover open for long periods
of time.
(4) Paper misfeed at the top output area
(When the job separator/finisher
(MX-FN23) is installed)
When copies are being output to the job separator or the
finisher, paper misfeeds may occur in the top output
area.
Push down the projections
on the fusing area paper
guide to open the fusing area
paper guide, and then
carefully remove the
misfed paper.
Gently open the top cover.
Remove the misfed paper.
(4) Paper misfeed at the right tray
(When the right tray (MX-TE10) is
installed)
(5) Paper misfeed in the bypass tray
(6) Paper misfeed in tray 1 to tray 4
Before pulling out the trays, always be sure to check that
there are no paper misfeeds inside the machine.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Gently open the cover of the
right tray.
Remove the misfed paper.
Remove the misfed paper.
Grasp the handle on the side
cover and gently pull
out/insert the side cover.
Open the bypass tray, and
then grasp the handle on the
side cover and pull out the
side cover.
Remove the misfed paper.
