4.4.2. UMX-02/0 Firmware upgrade through front DB-9 connector

1. Switch off the power supply of the UMX-02/0.
2. Place the
DOWNLOAD MODE position.
3. Connect the RS232 cable between the computer
and the UMX-02/0 front DB-9 connector (Fig.
10).
4. Switch ON the the UMX-02/0.
The Front LCD of the UMX-02/0 is disabled
and will only show black characters in aleatory
positions.
5. Run the
BASIC software.

6. Open the Options menu. Enable the option AutoDisconnect
and select New Settings.
7. Select the project you want to use UMX_H8_3064.AWS
or UMX_H8_3068.AWS (depending on the type of micro-
controller that is inside the UMX-02/0) and click on Next.
