Ortal Flue Design Options The permitted flue configurations and flue restrictor sizes are as shown in the tables. V = total vertical height H =total horizontal distance X = configuration not permitted There should be a minimum of 1m vertical connected to the fire before any bends. The only exception to this is for a vertical flue and termination, where it is permissible to connect 2 x 45 degree bends directly to a USA adaptor above the fire to offset the flue.
