There are two ways to reduce the water hardness: one way is using the water softener, the other is using detergent. The hardness of the water varies from place to place. If hard water is used in the dishwasher, deposits will form on the dishes and utensils.

YOU MAY NOT NEED TO ADD TOO MUCH DETERGENT BECAUSE YOUR DISHWASHER HAS A SPECIALLY-DESIGNED WATER SOFTENER. The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle following the instructions provided in the" Wash Cycle Table". Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for a normal wash load. Also, more heavily soiled items need more detergent.
