Warning Signal

Cause
Component failure.
High mask leak for
more than 20
seconds.
• Air pressure at the
mask has fallen
below the alarm
setting level.
• Mask is removed
while SmartStop
has been disabled.
• Excessive mask
leak.
Mask pressure
exceeds alarm setting
level.
Action
• Return the VPAP III ST-A for
servicing.
• DO NOT USE THE VPAP III ST-A
DEVICE.
Adjust the mask to minimize leak. See
"Using the Mask-Fitting Feature" on
page 14.
1. Reposition your mask and check it
for a source of leaks.
2. Check that the air tubing is
connected properly.
3. Turn the VPAP III ST-A off and on
again at the power switch. If the
alarm persists, return the unit to
ResMed for servicing.
1. Turn power off.
2. Turn power back on.
3. Try using the flow generator one
more time.
4. If the high pressure alarm activates
repeatedly, discontinue use and
return to ResMed for servicing. If
the alarm does not recur, then
continue to use as normal.
