C. Inspect Appliance and Components
• Carefully remove the appliance and components from
the packaging.
• Remove noncombustible material located on front of the
appliance.
• Remove crystal media which is packaged separately and
located beneath the firebox.
• Remove wall control which is located on the top standoff.
• Remove blue protective coating.
• Report any damaged in shipment to your dealer.
• Read all of the instructions before starting the instal-
lation. Follow these instructions carefully during the
installation to ensure maximum safety and benefit.
WARNING! Risk of Fire or Explosion! Damaged parts
could impair safe operation. DO NOT install damaged,
incomplete or substitute components.
Hearth & Home Technologies disclaims any responsibility
for, and the warranty will be voided by, the following actions:
• Installation and use of any damaged appliance.

• Improper positioning of the media.
• Installation and/or use of any component part not approved
