Vent Configuration: Vertical Termination

The termination must fall
within the shaded area
shown in the chart. Use
the indicated restrictor
positions.
Up to five elbows (45° or
90°) may be used.
Only one horizontal elbow
may be used.
6-5/8" (168mm) diameter
Simpson Dura-Vent Model
Direct-Vent Pro (or GS)vent
may be used for this
configuration. Attach a 8"
diameter 45° elbow to the
fireplace, connect a reducer
to the elbow (part #
98900165), then connect 6-
5/8" vent to the reducer.
Use the vertical high wind
cap (46DVA-VCH).
This is considered a horizontal
elbow (it does not matter
whether it turns right or left).
It may be a 90° or 45° elbow.
