Using Touchtone Commands

Placing Calls

To place a call with touchtone dialing
1. Dial the Speech Server extension number.
2. After the Attendant answers, dial the number. The Attendant places the call.

Switching to Touchtone

Sometimes, when you are in a noisy environment, you may want to use the phone pad (DTMF
dialing) to provide your messaging commands instead of using voice commands.
To give messaging commands with touchtone dialing
Press *M (*6) to access "Messenger" while you are in the Attendant mode.
Press *T (*8) to switch to Touchtone Mode if you are in the "Messenger" mode.
The Unified Messaging system uses the following phone keys for DTMF commands:

Play a message
Delete a message
Keep the message. Marks the message as "read" and moves to the
next message
Answer a message
Give (forward) a message
Make a new message
Skip to the next message, leaving the message as "read"/"unread"
Go to the previous message
Listen to your "read" messages
Change your user options (PIN, greetings, name recording)
Transfer to the Operator
Exit to the main menu (Desktop)
