7.0. MAINTENANCE
7.1. Oil Change
Heat the oil to a temperature within 50 and 60 deg.C.Dr
all
the oil from the engine through the drain plug in the bottom
part of
the
oil
return
line.
Drain
the
oil
tank
and
oil
system,
remove the oil filter
from the oil pump and remove
valve rocker compartment covers. Examine oil
for presence' of
fine chips or metal shavings. The engine manufacturer should
be contacted in case that chips or shavings are present in the
oil.
Flush
oil
filter
and covers' of
the
valve
rocker
compartments with gasoline. Fill the valve rocker compartments
with new oil
(150 ccm into each compartment)
and
ace the
valve rocker compartment covers .Change hardened or otherwise
damaged gaskets.
Tight
the
nuts of
the
covers
with
torque
according
chapter
10.0.
The
manufacturer
can
supply
the
spanner on the wish of a customer.

Turn
the propeller
I
after filling oil tank with new oil till the
oil pressure gauge indicates pressure. Fill up oil to maximum,
if required. Drain oil from the manual starter box removing the
plug in its bottom part (if applicable). Fill the box with 200
ccm of new oil through an apperture in the upper part of the
box. Check oil amount inside the fuel pump. Oil level must be
up to air outlet bolt thr;ead
(crank shaft axe in horizontal
pos
ion).
7.2.
Compression Check
Compression is checked informatively during each servicing of
the engine,when turning the engine throttle fully open.
Compression is measured during each inspection after 50 hours
of operation by means of a compression meter.

should be acoomplished with warm engine
the engine test
run
been completed and the cylinder head temperature has
dropped to 50 deg. C. With
the ignition magnetos switched OFF
remove spark plugs on one side ,of the engine. Set the throttle
to
s fully open position. Turn the engine be means of the
starter or manually when measuring compression in the
individual cylinders.
Compression pressures should be 'the, following: .
- minimum 0.3 M Pa
- maximum difference among the individual cylinders 0.2
M
