5.3. Warm-up and Increasing Power Setting
Maintain approximately
1 000 rpm for two minutes,
then switch battery
charging ON
and insrease engine
speed to approximately
1 500 rpm for
2 to
5, minutes,
according to
ambient air
temperature, t

an oil
temperature of 40 deg. C and a
cylinder head temperature of 120 deg. C
reached. Control by means
cooling flap setting, if required.
Performance Check
Move throttle lever slowly to its take-off power position (continuously
within 2 sec.).
The engine must reach the
maximum ground speed. Check,
by comparing the engine speed with Flight Manual data.
Check
engine
acceleration
and
deceleration
moving
the
throuttle
gradually from idle'to take-off power setting within 2 seconds and back
to idle at identical rate.
Ignition Maaneto Check
Carry out ignition magnetos check by switching. By

throttle
the prescribed engine speed

at switching - off each magneto
shoved be 30 50 rpm coincidentaly.
Battery Charging Check
Electrical
system
vOltage
should
not
exceed,
at
an
engine speed
corresponding to take-off power setting, the following values:

temperature

Engine
cooling
is
carried
out
at
increased
idle power setting of
1 200 rpm.
5.4. Take-off
Set throttle to take off power
se~ting
Do not exceed
approved limits of cyl'inder head
and oil, temperatures
and of oil pressure.
Maintain recommended temperatures by means of cooling flap cont'rol.
