5 BINDING PROCEDURE
2 CARACTERISTIQUES
Your Pro-Tronik radio control system establishes a connection in the 2.4 GHz band between the transmitter and the
receiver. This band called ISM (Industry, Science and Medical care) is not dedicated to remote controls. It is also used by
many other devices such as WiFi, Bluetooth, some ovens, games, home automation, etc.. This implies that the range of
your set can be greatly reduced in town or in an environment "polluted" by these waves.
In order to secure the best possible connection, your Tx set uses a technology so-called "frequency hopping" (FHSS),
wherein the connection channel changes constantly. This binding natively very safe, is further enhanced by assigning a
unique identification code (ID) for the transmitter and receiver. This code allows each of these two devices recognize
each other.
Therefore, the receiver will interpret the commands from the transmitter which he was associated to during the pairing
procedure.
When making your set, the receiver and transmitter have been associated, that is to say, coupled to work together. This
ensures the best immunity to interference of link by a third transmitter.
Your set is operational from its first use.
You can, however, be taken to perform the pairing operation , especially if you buy a new receiver. In fact, any new
receiver has a factory identifier that is not known to the transmitter.
It is therefore necessary that the transmitter and the new receiver discover each other in order to establish a connection.
PROCEDURE
The pairing procedure easy to perform, is as follows:
Switch the Tx in pairing mode:
- move the throttle to idle and turn the transmitter power
- press the ENTER button for 3 seconds to enter the FUNCTIONS menu
- press the ENTER key 5 times to select the "BIND" function
- press the UP (or DOWN button)
the screen displays a dotted line scrolling from left to right, indicating that the transmitter is now in "pairing." It sends its
ID codes to the receiver.
The transmitter will come out of this mode when it is turned off.
Switch the Rx in pairing mode:
- press the push-button located on the left side of receiver (antenna side)
- hold the button pressed and power the receiver
- the LED lights up solid red
- immediately release the push-button
the red LED will blink rapidly., indicating that it receives the ID code of the transmitter. It turns off after a short time
indicating that the identification code of the transmitter has been stored successfully.
Your transmitter and receiver are now paired and able to establish a secure connection at the next power-up. Therefore
finalize the procedure as follows:
- disconnect the receiver battery
- turn off the transmitter
- turn the transmitter on, then the receiver and check that operation is working
In some rare cases, It is possible that the pairing procedure does not work the first time. If unsuccessful, repeat
!
the procedure from the beginning. If the pairing is still not possible, move away from fifty centimeters receiver
and the transmitter and try again.
If the pairing turns totally impossible, change of location and environment. Make sure your receiver is not
placed on a metal surface or that other transmitters are not in an environment too close.
i
Remember that you can not fly until the pairing between the transmitter and the receiver is not realized.
