Solving Problems with Printing Quality

Solution
Open the front cover. Lift up the transfer
belt release lever to the 12 o'clock posi-
tion. Next, return the lever to the 3
o'clock position. Repeat this operation
several times. (This cleans the surface
of the image darkness sensor.)
Remove the moist media and replace it
with new, dry media.
Adjust the humidity in the paper storage
area.
Check the fuser unit for damage. If nec-
essary, replace it.
Remove the OPC drum cartridge and
check for damage. If necessary, replace
the entire drum kit.
Reset the transfer roller unit.
Remove the toner cartridge and check
for damage. If necessary, replace it.
Remove the OPC drum cartridge and
check for damage. If necessary, replace
the entire drum kit.
Make sure that the transfer unit was
correctly installed.
Replace the transfer roller.
Level the printer (not exceeding 1.5°
slant at any point around the machine).
