16 Reset User Settings and Erase History

Purpose
To reset the user settings to the default values and erase all recorded glucose data and
events.
Start
Do this procedure whenever you need to return your settings to the factory defaults
and erase the recorded glucose data and events.
Materials
Your FreeStyle Navigator Receiver.
Helpful Information
• If you don't press any buttons for 20 seconds, the receiver screen will go blank and the last change
will be lost if you haven't pressed the Select button.
Caution: You should never reset your user settings when you are wearing a sensor. This will reset
parameters that may affect your system performance.
• Resetting user settings resets the following items to their default. Be careful to confirm that your
settings are correct after selecting this function.
Note: The units of glucose cannot be changed. [The default values are shown in brackets]:
• High Glucose Target.
[180 mg/dL (10.0 mmol/L)]
• Low Glucose Target.
[80 mg/dL (4.4 mmol/L)]
• Alarm Settings: [Med Beep]
– On/Off
– Low beep
– Medium beep
– High beep
– Short vibe
– Medium vibe
– Long vibe
– Alarm Thresholds
Reset User Settings and Erase History
• Country Settings: [Local settings]
– Date format
– Time format
• Displays for the items in the Add Event menu:
– Insulin type [Rapid]
– Insulin dose [1 unit]
– Exercise type [Walking]
– Exercise duration [30 min.]
• Strip Code. [18]
• Sensor Code. [105]
• Low Glucose Alarm. [65 mg/dL (3.6 mmol/L)]
• High Glucose Alarm. [300 mg/dL (16.7 mmol/L)]
