below shows how the Zone Maps translate MIDI key numbers to Zones.

Do not confuse the
Standard Zone Map
with the Standard
Factory Kit Layout.
In the Default Zone
Map, the 24 zones fall
on consecutive white
keys starting at key
number 36.
