Live input mappings: Designer

X-Agora Designer can also use live input devices, which is useful when you build a
project and do not have Players available. When you create a new project, the Designer
mappings use the matching physical devices.

Live input blocks on Timelines
When adding a live-input element to a timeline, you must choose which virtual device
to use for that element. The example shown in Figure 5.47, Sample Live-Input Timeline"
uses SDI 0. (This value can be changed by means of a drop-down list in the Properties
pane.) Based on the list of live inputs in Figure 5.43, Live inputs SDI", this corresponds
to the first physical SDI input of the DeltaCast card on this machine. If there is no such
device and the mapping is set to None, a black texture is applied. If the live-input element
is run on several Players, SDI 0 could point to different physical cards and physical in-
puts. This feature gives you the flexibility to use different inputs but address them with
one Timeline element.
