How to use CANICALM

CANICALM should be used on dogs over 6 months'old. Do not use the collar with dogs that are
not in good physical shape (i.e. cardiac problems, epilepsy,...) or have behavioural problems.
The CANICALM bark limiter collar has several functions (sound beeps, short and long
stimulations, sensitivity regulation). You must thoroughly understand how it works and adjust the
collar before placing it around your dog's neck.
We advise you to start with sound beeps without stimulations. In this way the dog can
understand the connection between the operation of the device and its barks.
Although the sound beeps will undoubtedly not be enough, at the beginning, to stop the dog
barking, they will help it to understand what will then happen.
After a few hours, if the dog continues to bark, add a short stimulation, and if this is not enough,
add a long one.
The dog will associate this unpleasant sensation with its barking, and will relate it to the fact that
it is wearing a collar.
Do not leave the collar more than 8 hours per day on your dog. You do not want the dog to
stop barking definitively, but to limit the disturbance caused by excessive barking.
