Cleaning and Care
Cleaning/Degreasing the brew unit
Depending on the oil content of the
coffee, the brew unit can clog. Clean
the brew unit approx. every 200 cups
with the enclosed detergent tablets.
They are specially developed for the
coffee maker to optimize the
degreasing. The cleaning tablets can
be purchased from Miele.
As a reminder the display shows
"Cleaning must be started" after
200 cups and then until the machine
is cleaned. The cleaning process
takes about 6 minutes.
^ Select "Care".
^ Select "Cleaning" and then "OK".
The display guides you through the
cleaning process. Please follow the
single steps.

^ Set a 1 quart container under the
coffee dispenser.
The interior is also rinsed, therefore the
drip tray must be emptied.
When the display shows:
Please drop the cleaning tablet in the
funnel for ground coffee
^ Take out the funnel cover and open
the funnel lid.
^ Insert the cleaning tablet in the
funnel.
^ Close the lid, reinsert the cover and
close the door.
^ Select "OK".
Follow the display messages.
When the display shows:
Process finished. Please confirm.
The brew unit is cleaned and rinsed.
^ Select "OK" and then "Clear" to go
back to the main menu.
