3. Ceiling Fan Assembly MOTOR HUB Rotate the motor hub to align the hub notch area over each of the five screws which is holding the shipping retainer to the motor assembly. One by one unscrew each screw and discard screws and REMOVE SHIPPING shipping retainer (Figure 1).

3. Ceiling Fan Assembly NOTE: Take care not to scratch fan housing when installing blades. MOTOR HUB BLADE/FLANGE Loosely attach one blade/flange assembly to the motor ASSEMBLY hub by securing the two 1/4-20 x 14mm captive pan head screws. Make sure the screws are NOT tightened (Figure 4).

Installation of Switch Housing for Accessory Control SWITCH HOUSING If Emerson Accessory RF Control is to be used, install the accessory control switch housing. Remove and retain the three #8-32 x 12mm flat head screws from the switch housing plate.

3. Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) PARTIALLY ASSEMBLED CEILING FAN STYROFOAM Turn the partially assembled ceiling fan right side up in preparation for final assembly. Carefully place the partially assembled ceiling fan on the styrofoam being careful not to bend the ceiling fan blades (Figure 9).

Place the 4.5” downrod into the motor coupling, aligning the clevis pin holes in the downrod with the holes in the 4.5" motor coupling (Figure 12). 3. Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) 3.14 DOWNROD Make sure the grommet is properly installed in the motor coupler cover then slide the motor coupler cover on the downrod until it rests on the motor housing. COUPLING COVER Be sure the motor coupler cover is oriented correctly (Figure 14).

3. Ceiling Fan Assembly (continued) 3.16 4.5" DOWNROD Route the three 80” motor leads through the hanger ball. HANGER BALL Reinstall the hanger ball (Figure 16) on the downrod as follows: Position the hanger ball pin through the two holes in the downrod and align the ball so the pin is captured in the groove in the top of the hanger ball.
4. How to Hang Your Ceiling Fan WARNING The fan must be hung with at least 7' of clearance from CEILING floor to blades (Figure 18). WARNING The outlet box and joist must be securely mounted and capable of supporting at least 50 lbs. Use only a U.L. outlet box listed as “Acceptable for Fan Support of 22.7 kg.

5. How to Wire Your Ceiling Fan (Continued) Screw the two threaded studs (supplied) into the tapped holes in the hanger bracket (Figure 25). Lift the ceiling cover up to the threaded studs and turn until studs protrude through the holes in the ceiling cover (Figure 26).
6. Using Your Ceiling Fan Restore electrical power to the outlet box by turning the electricity on at the main fuse box. All fans are shipped from the factory with the reversing switch positioned to the “left” circulate air downward. If airflow is desired in opposite direction, turn your fan OFF and wait for the blades to stop turning, then slide the reversing switch to the “right”...
