1. Shut off gas to the appliance.
2. Extinguish any open flame.
3. If odour continues, keep away from
the appliance and immediately call

An LP-cylinder not connected for use
shall not be stored in the vicinity of

    Step 9 Requires 8, 11 To install the battery 11, unscrew the rubber cap of the electric ignitor on the pedestal 8 and place AAA battery 3 into the battery case. Make sure the positive pole (“+”) faces out toward the cap. Screw the cap back onto the electric ignitor tightly.
  • Page 12 Model no. 085-1271-6 Step 11 Requires 8 To install the propane gas tank to the pedestal 8, first turn the cylinder valve on the propane gas tank clockwise to close the gas supply on the propane gas tank. Then, screw the regulator coupling from inside the pedestal 8 onto the valve clockwise by hand only.
  • Page 13 Perform leak test in a well-ventilated area outside and where no source of spark can occur. Connect propane gas tank to regulator. Turn the on/off valve at the unit to the ‘OFF’ position to pressurize the control system. Use a soapy-water solution to check all the connections leaks before attempting to light the appliance.
