Chapter 2, Connecting Peripheral Devices
Playing audio CDs on a CD-ROM drive
You can use a CD-ROM drive to play audio CDs on your computer. The sound
will be heard through the computer's built-in speaker (or through external
speakers or headphones if you have them).
Use audio CD software (such as AppieCD Audio Player, part of Mac OS) to play
the CD and the Sound Output and Sound Out Level popups in the Monitors
&
Sound control panel to select the CD-ROM drive and control the volume.
If
you use headphones plugged into the front of the CD-ROM drive, volume can
be adjusted using the volume control next to the headphone plug.
See the Macintosh Guide for further information about playing audio CDs on
a CD-ROM drive.
