can I lower my power rise shade without using the remote? in otherwords, can I pull it down gently by hand?

Yes, you can manually lower the Hunter Douglas Duette PowerRise shade without using the remote. There is a button on the headrail designed for this purpose. Pressing and releasing this button will lower the shade, and tapping it again will stop or raise it. However, avoid pressing and holding the button unless you intend to reset the programming.
