1. what is the maximum width allowed for a vertiglide? 2. if motorized, can each side be operated separately? If not, and two unit have to be installed together, how much gap will be created between the two unit?

The maximum width allowed for a Hunter Douglas Duette Vertiglide is 168".

Each side of a motorized unit cannot be operated separately. When two units are installed together, there is a 1/2" gap between them.
