Locate thefuelfilter, w hich isrouted o n theleftside oftheengine
between t hefueltank and thecarburetor,
andmaybeattached to
theengine with a tiestrap. Cutthetiestrap, ifpresent, then pinch
thein-line c lamp onthefuelfilterwith a pairofpliers, slide the
clamp upthefuelline.Pull t hefuellinefreefromthefilterandplace

Tochangethe fuel filter:
1.
Usepliersto squeeze thetabson theotherclam p (theout-line
sideofthefuelfilter),thenslidetheclampaway fromthefuelfilter.
Twist a nd pullthefuellineoff ofthefuelfilter.See Figure11.
2.
Checkthefuellinesforcracks or leaks.Replace if necessary.
3.
Replace thefuelfilterwithanoriginalequipment r eplacement
filter.Call 1-800-4-MY-HOME®
to purchase theoriginalequip-
mentreplacement filter.

Secure thefuellineswiththeclamps.
Air Cleaner
Theairfiltersystem uses a cylindrical cartridge. Thismodel a lso
includes a pre-cleaner thatcanbewashed andreused.
1. Remove t hefasteners (A)andtheairfiltercover ( B).SeeFigure

Toremove t hefilter (C),lifttheendofthefilter a ndthen pull t he
filteroff theintake (D).
3.
Remove t hepre-cleaner (E),ifequipped, fromthefilter.
4. Toloosen debris, gently tapthefilterona hardsurface. Ifthefilter
isexcessively dirty, r eplace w ith a newfilter.
5.
Wash thepre-cleaner inliquid detergent andwater. Thenallow it
tothoroughly airdry.Donotoilthepre-cleaner.
6.
Assemble thedry pre-cleaner tothefilter.
7. Install t hefilteron theintake.Pushtheendofthe filterintothe
baseasshown.Makesurefilterfitssecurelyin thebase.

Install a irfilter cover and secure withfasteners.
