engine starting procedure
To start the engine for Craftsman part number 247.28902:
1. Make sure the PTO/Blade Engage lever is in the OFF position.
2. Engage the parking brake.
3. Move the throttle control lever to the FAST position.
4. Pull the CHOKE control outward.
5. Turn the ignition key in the key switch module clockwise to the START position.
6. Once the engine starts, release the key to return it to the normal mowing position.
7. Push the CHOKE control in once the engine is running smoothly.
Ensure the spark plug wires are connected and there is fresh gasoline in the tank. The clutch-brake pedal must be fully depressed to start the engine.
