8, Remove the bow-tie cotter pin securing the deck s tabilizer red to
the deck. Slide t he deck liftrod from the mounting bracket onthe
deck a s seen i nFig. 1 9.
9. Carefully remove the PTO cable f rom the rear ofthe cutting deck
byremoving the bow-tie cotter pin which secures it.Remove the
spring from the deck i dler bracket. See Fig, 20.
10.Gently slide t he cutting deck ( from the left s ide) out f rom
underneath the tractor.

TIRES
Never exceed themaximum inflation pressure shown on thesidewall
of tire.
The recommended operating tire pressure is:
• Approximately 1 0 psiforthereartires
• Approximately 1 4psiforthefronttires
IMPORTANT:Refer t othetiresidewall for exact t iremanufacturer's
recommended ormaximum psi.Donot overinflate. Uneven tirepres-
surecould cause thecutting d ecktomowunevenly.

If removing thebattery, d isconnect the NEGATIVE ( Black) wire
fromits terminal f irst,followed by thePOSITIVE (Red)wire.When
re-installing thebattery, a lwaysconnect t he POSITIVE (Red)wireto
itsterminal f irst,followed bytheNEGAT VE(Back)wire,
JUMP STARTING
1. Connect p ositive(+)cableto positive post(+)ofyourtractor's
discharged battery.
2. Connect t heotherendofthecabletothe(positive +) postofthe
jumperbattery.
3. Connectthesecond cable(negative -) to theotherpostof the
jumperbattery.
4. Connect t heotherendofthe negative cableto theengineblockof
thetractor, a wayfromthe battery. A ttachto anunpainted partto
assure a goodconnection.
If thejumperbatteryis installed ona vehicle (i.e.car,truck), do NOT
startthevehicle's engine whenjumpstarting yourtractor.
