Setting the Cartridges from the Import/Export Slot

Cartridges can be set to the library from the Import/Export slot. To set the
cartridges, set the target element addresses. For information about element
addresses, refer to "Assigned Element Addresses" (page 28).

Use a command such as "OPERATION" - "IMPORT MEDIUM" in USER
mode and set the target element addresses.

The library has the following commands for operations with the Import/
Export slot:

[OPERATION] – [MOVE MEDIUM], [IMPORT MEDIUM], [EXPORT
MEDIUM], [DRV CLEANING], [DRV F/W UP], [FILL LIBRARY] and
[EMPTY LIBRARY]
The shutter of the Import/Export slot opens.

Insert a cartridge in the direction as shown and press it all the way.
Caution
• The shutter of the Import/Export Slot opens/closes automatically. Do not
put your hand or fingers inside the shutter. It may cause an injury.
• Take care when inserting cartridge into the library. Inserting cartridge in
the wrong direction could lead to damage and/or malfunction.
• When the cartridge is inserted in the wrong direction or is not pressed into
the proper position, it is returned automatically. In this case, press the
"CANCEL" button and execute an insertion command with the Import/
Export slot again. Then put the cartridge in the right direction.

protect switch upward.
