3. If necessary, drill a hole through the vehicle's
firewall for the power wire.

4. If you have drilled a hole through the firewall or
other sheet metal, insert a snap-in bushing to
protect the wire.
5. Run the wire from inside the cab to the battery.
6. Strip 1/4 in. (0.64 cm) of insulation from the end of
the power wire or the extension wire.
Fuse link
7. Attach a fuse link to the stripped end of the wire
using a crimped splice. If necessary, crimp a 3/8
in. terminal ring onto the free end of the fuse link.
