The Home screen is the first view to be shown on the StudioLive CS18AI when it's
powered on. From here you can navigate to the primary menus and mix options.
System brings you to the main system settings for the CS18AI and
connected RM mixer. This screen is broken into two sections. On the
left are settings and on the right are the additional setup menus.
For details about the System settings, refer to Section 5.7.
Utilities contains CS18AI surface test modes. These allow you to test
the functionality of the screens, LEDs, and faders. For details about the
test modes refer to Section 2.5 Powering and Testing the CS18AI.
Preamps changes the functionality of the Fat Channel encoders to provide the
preamp gains for each of the 16 channel strips being displayed simultaneously.
This is handy when first setting levels, as you can go right down the line of
inputs. When Preamp mode is on, the encoders map to the Preamp gain
control for the channel shown on the associated channel strip (so if Channel
Strip 1 is showing Channel 1, the first encoder will control the preamp gain
for Channel 1). When you navigate away from the Preamps view, the CS18AI
will exit Preamps mode and return the Fat Channel to its normal state.
FX Edit will bring up a list of the four available effects processors. Touching
one of them will open the associated FX view for editing the effects. For
more information on effects refer to Section 5.9 Internal Effects Mixes.
UCNET stands for Universal Control Network. This is the
communications system behind PreSonus Active Integration that
allows all StudioLive systems to stay in sync and work together.
The top banner of this screen will display the current network
connection. Pressing the Settings icon to the right of the Network
name will open the list of available wireless networks, assuming you
have the USB Wi-Fi LAN adapter connected to the CS18AI.
