Replaceable charcoal filter
NOTE: DO NOT rinse, or put charcoal
filters in an automatic dishwasher.
Charcoal Filter--Recirculating
Installations
Only
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned.
It must be replaced. Order filter no.
WBO2XI0700. Replacement f ilters can be
orderedfrom your GEsupplier.
tf the hood isnot ventedto the outside,the
air will be recirculated througha disposable
charcoalfilter that helpsremovesmokeand
odors.
Thecharcoal f ilter shouldbe replaced after 6
to 12months(depending on hood usage).
Toremove:
Pulldownon the centerof the front edge
of the filter.Thefilter willthen slipout ofthe
retainingtabs on the back.
Toreplace:
Slipthe back edgeof thefilter intothe
retainingtabs and pushthe front edgeup
until it snapsinto place.
Stainless
Steel Surfaces
(on some models)
Donot usea steel-woolpad; it will scratch
the surface.
Tocleanthe stainless steelsurface, u se
warm sudsywater or a stainless steelcleaner
or polish. A lwayswipe the surfacein the
directionof the grain.Follow the cleaner
instructionsfor cleaningthe stainless steel
surface.

surface.
Cleangrease-laden surfacesof the hood
frequently. T ocleanthe hood surface,use
a hot, dampclothwith a milddetergent
suitablefor paintedsurfaces. A boutone
tablespoon of ammoniamay be addedto
the water.Usea clean,hot, dampcloth to
removesoap.Drywith a dry,cleancloth.
NOTE:When cleaning, t ake carenot to
comein contact with filtersand othernon-
enameledsurfaces.

cloth.A warm or hot lightbulbmay breakif

A CAUtiON:
L etthe light bulb
coolcompletelybeforeremoving.A warm or
hot bulb may breakif touchedwith a moist
cloth or hand.
Remove the bulband replaceit with a type
A15incandescent l ight bulbwith an ordinary
screwbase, n ot more than 60 Watts,or a
type A!7 or T2CompactFluorescent ( CFL)
light bulbwith an ordinaryscrewbase,
not more than 13Watts.NOTE: U seonly
incandescent b ulbsin modelsRN328, JN327
and JV338.
INPORTANT: Forinstallation, h andlingand
disposalprecautions, r eferto the fluorescent
bulb packagingliterature.
Toremove the light cover
(onsomemodels):
• Press thesideswith two fingersuntil the
sideprongsare released.
• Liftthe lightcover and slideit towardyou
in one motion.
Toreplacethe light coven
• Insertthe pronglocatedat the end of the
coverintothe top opening.
Gentlypushthe coverup and pressthe
sidesto fit the sideprongsintothe side
openings.
Release andthecoverwilllockin position.
