SERVICE SCHEDULE

Important maintenance work to be carried out by an authorized KTM workshop.

Engine
Change the engine oil and filter, clean the oil screens.
Check and adjust valve clearance.
Check engine mounting screws for tightness.
Replace spark plug.
Clean spark plug connectors and check for tightness.
Carburetor
Clean and adjust carburetor.
Check carburetor connection boots for cracks and leakage.
Check vent hoses for damage and routing without sharp bends.
Check idle.
Check the carburetor components.
Change the fuel filter.
Attachments
Check that all operating elements for smooth operation.
Check the cooling system for leakage.
Check the coolant level and antifreeze. (
Check the exhaust system for leakage and looseness.
Check Bowden cables for damage, smooth operation and routing without
sharp bends.
Check the fluid level of the hydraulic clutch. (
Clean the air filter.
Check that the electrical equipment is functioning properly.
Check cables for damage and routing without sharp bends.
Clean the fuel tank breather hoses, checking for damage and routing with-
out sharp bends.
Check the headlamp setting.
Treat electric contacts with contact spray.
Brakes
Check the front brake linings. (
Check the rear brake linings. (
Check the brake discs. (
Check the front brake fluid level. (
Check the rear brake fluid level. (
Change the brake fluid.
Check brake lines for damage and leakage.
Check the free play of the hand brake lever. (
Check the free play of the foot brake lever. (
Check brake system function.
Check screws and guide bolts of brake system for tightness.
Chassis
Check the shock absorber and fork for leakage and functioning.
Clean dust boots of fork legs. (
Bleed fork legs. (
Check the swingarm bearing.
For each lever, remove the linkage, lubricate the bearing and check the
seals and bearing for wear.
Check the frame and link fork for cracks.
Check play of steering head bearing. (
Check all screws to see if they are tight.
Wheels
Check the spoke tension. (
Check rim run-out.
Check the tire condition. (
Check the tire air pressure. (
Check the rear sprocket/engine sprocket for wear. (
