When downloading firmware, insert the SmartMedia used for
downloading into the camera before setting the camera to Jig
mode.

Refer to the "Connections for Downloading Firmware" figure
shown at right.

1)Order firmware downloading separately, as required. Do not

2)As at 15/6/02, the firmware version for the FinePix S2 Pro
is "1.56".
<Step 1>
Select [F8] from [Adjustment Select Screen (Fig.4)]
(ie press the [F8] key on the computer).
-> The [Run Download Screen (Fig.36)] is displayed.
<Step 2>
Follow the instructions on the [Run Download Screen (Fig.36)],
and press the [Enter] key on the computer.

-> The [Downloading Screen (Fig.37)] is displayed. Down-
loading requires between 1.5 and 2 minutes.
-> The [Download Complete Screen (Fig.38)] is displayed
when the firmware has been downloaded successfully.
