4-1. Checklist for Major Component Replacement
When replacing the MAIN PWB ASSY, CAMERA BODY ASSY, CCD HOLDER ASSY, or REAR LCD PANEL, check the items
marked with a circle (O) in the table below.
(These adjustments are not required when replacing items other than the units listed in the table.)

*1 The CCD defect data floppy disk cannot be provided with MAIN PWB ASSY units supplied as after-sales service parts.
(This is because the CCD defect data is supplied together with the CCD HOLDER ASSY.)
Accordingly, the "CCD defect correction/adjustment" repair/adjustment procedure performed when the MAIN PWB ASSY is
replaced is given below.
(1)Make a note of the serial number written on the back of the CCD (IC100) mounted on the CCD HOLDER ASSY of the
camera under repair.
(2)In the list of CCD defect data files, locate the CCD defect data that matches the serial number noted in the previous step and
copy that data onto a floppy disk.
(3)Use the disk containing the copied data to implement CCD defect correction.
Supplement: As with previous models, this is due to the difficulty of removing and using the Flash_ROM (IC314)
mounted on the MAIN PWB ASSY in the FinePix S2 Pro.
*2 You must always select "END Settings" at the end of a series of adjustments. If the camera is returned to the customer
without specifying the exit settings in this way, the camera will not communicate with a computer.
*3 When replacing the camera body, always perform the "Nikon repair request settings" before replacing the camera body.
The camera body replacement adjustments should also be performed when a camera is returned from Nikon following a
request for repairs.
*4 The firmware download command is only used when an internal camera software problem is discovered and an
upgrade is required. At this point (15/6/02), there are no plans for a firmware upgrade.
( Supplement:At this point (15/6/02), the firmware version for the FinePix S2 Pro(U)(E) is "1.56".)

REAR LCD PANEL replacement:
(Note) If CAM adjustment is performed without a component being replaced, use the Flash adjustment -> AF adjustment
sequence for the adjustment.
