The safety belt installed in the transporting vehicle should be applied
as shown in the illustration above.

9.4 Transporting the mobility device without

occupant

CAUTION!
Risk of injury
– If you are unable to fasten your mobility device
securely in a transport vehicle, Invacare recommends
that you do not transport it.
•
Before transporting your mobility device, make sure the motors
are engaged and that the remote is switched off.
Invacare strongly recommends that you additionally disconnect
or remove the batteries. Refer to Removing the batteries.
•
Invacare strongly recommends securing the mobility device to
the floor of the transporting vehicle.

9.4.1 Preparing the wheelchair for transport without

occupant
Please proceed as follows to prepare the wheelchair for transport:
1. Remove legrests (please refer to the chapter concerning legrests)
2. Remove the battery case
3. Tip the backrest forwards
4. Remove the seat if necessary
The wheelchair is reassembled in reverse order to the above.

9.4.2 Removing the batteries

1.
Remove the safety clip for the battery belt (1).
2.
Pull the rear battery case backwards using the belt. The locking
system opens automatically when doing so.
