To raise the antenna beyond the 30 inch height you merely turn the
knob of the override switch located on the instrument panel
face.
The
antenna will rise as long as the switch is held on, until a maximum
height of 60 inches is reached. It will automatically lower itself fully
·
whenever the radio or ignition switch if turned
off.
CAUTION: Do not hold switch in operating position beyond full travel of
antenna (up or
down).
For long trouble free operation mast sections should
be cleaned once a month with clean water.
WINDSHIELD WASHER-The windshield washer is vacuum oper-
ated and controlled
by
the push button in the center of the wiper
control, located in the curved section on the left side of instrument
panel. To
activa
te the washer and wiper, simply push in on the plunger
button and
release.
Through the action of a coupler attached to the
wiper motor, washer action is coordinated with windshield wiper
action-the water being forced from two jets located at the base of
the wiper arm
supports.
The wipers will continue to operate for 8 to
10 cycles after the pre-determined amount of water
has
been pumped
from the washer jar. If more water is required simply push the button
again.
To insure the best operation of the windshield washer, the jets should-
be kept
clean.
Dirt, wax and polish can reduce or stop the flow of water.

visibility.
