VENTILATION SYSTEM - The ventilating panes
in
the door
·
window, the duct type ventilators and
the heater and defroster are all part of a
controlled ventilation
system.
Vent Panes-The ventilating panes
can be adjusted, by means of a crank
control, to any position to suit weather
conditions and provide circulation of
outside air in the car. They are also use-
ful in preventing fogging of windows, es-
pecially the windshield, in cold weather.
Vent Ducts-Two "VENT" control levers
located on the instrument panel to the left
of the
steering
column
are
used to control
the amount of
outside air
entering the car
through the duct type ventilators in the side
kick pads. The amount of air entering the car
from either duct will increase
as
the
"VENT"
control levers are depressed.
HEATER & DEFROSTER-The heating system provides for even
distribution of heated air throughout the car. Hood high outside air,
relatively free from dust and fumes, enters through the intake directly
below the windshield. It is heated and distributed to heater outlets
and defroster nozzles by means of a duct.
Three cqntrols regulate the heater: the air control push buttons, the
temperature control lever, and the fan control lever.
Air Control-Three push buttons across the top of the heater control
cluster regulate the flow of heater and defroster air. Each button has a
printed notation below it to indicate its usage.
