Replace the
Hydraulic Tank Breather Cap -
Models with Optional Hydraulic Oil
The hydraulic tank is a vented-type tank. The
breather cap has an internal air filter that can
become clogged or, over time, can deteriorate. If
the breather cap is faulty or improperly installed,
impurities can enter the hydraulic system which
may cause component damage. Extremely dirty
conditions may require that the cap be inspected
more often.
1 Remove and discard the hydraulic tank breather
cap.
2 Install a new cap onto the tank.

Grease the Axle Wheel Bearings
Mechanical Axle
Axle specifications require that this procedure be
performed every 6 months or 10,000 km, whichever
comes first.
Maintaining the axle wheel bearings is essential to
safe operation and good machine performance.
Towing the machine with loose or worn wheel
bearings may cause an unsafe towing condition and
continued use may result in component or property
damage. Regular steam cleaning and pressure
washing of the machine may require that this
procedure be performed more often.
1 Loosen the wheel lug bolts. Do not remove
them.
2 At the ground controls, extend the outriggers
until the axle is off the ground and the machine
is level.
3 Remove the lug bolts and remove the tire and
wheel assembly from the machine.
4 Remove, wash and inspect the axle wheel
bearings and spacer ring.
5 Pack both bearings with clean, fresh grease.
6 Install the bearings and spacer ring onto the
axle and reassemble the axle.
