Four Slot USB Cradle

This section describes how to set up and use a Four Slot USB cradle with the mobile computer. For cradle communication setup
procedures see, Chapter 3, ActiveSync.
The Four Slot USB cradle:
• Provides 12 VDC power for operating the mobile computer.
• Enables data communication between the mobile computer (up to four) and a host computer, using a USB connection.
• Synchronizes information between the mobile computer and a host computer. (With customized or third party software, it
can also synchronize the mobile computer with corporate databases.)
• Simultaneously charges up to four batteries in the mobile computer.
Use only a Symbol-approved power supply (p/n 50-14000-148) output rated 12 Vdc and minimum 3.33A. The
power supply is certified to EN60950 with SELV outputs. Use of alternative power supply will invalidate any
approval given to this device and may be dangerous.

Setup

Connect the USB cradle to a power source and to a USB port on the host device.
