MOTOR FAULTS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS

(1) If any of the following faults occurs in the motor, check the cause and provide the relevant
corrective action.
(2) If these inspections and corrective actions cannot solve the problem, contact your YASKAWA
representative immediately.

Power supply voltage applied to power supply

Use rectifier type voltmeter to test. Voltage
output to output terminals U(T1), V(T2), W(T3)

Frequency setting voltage entered?

Wiring of terminals U(T1), V(T2), W(T3)

TROUBLESHOOTING
Corrective Action
⋅Turn ON power supply.
⋅Turn OFF power supply, and then ON again.
⋅Check power supply voltage.
⋅Make sure terminal screws are tight.
Turn OFF power supply, then turn ON again.
Reduce the load and release the lock.
Check troubleshooting table.
Check the wiring.
⋅Correct the wiring.
⋅Check frequency setting voltage.
Input the correct set value.
Match wiring to the phase order of the motor
leads U(T1), V(T2), W(T3) .
Correct the wiring.
Correct the wiring.
With the digital operator, check the reference
selection or operation method selection.
Reduce the load.
Check motor nameplate specifications.
Check speed changer (gears, etc.)
Check the maximum frequency set value.
Check V/f characteristics values.
