3.1.2

Chart position correction

There may be a case where the radar picture does not match the chart overlay.
This is due to an error in the position fixing system (GPS, Loran, etc.) or the
different coordinates between the position fixing system and the radar. In this
case, align the chart with the radar image as below.
Note: Track is neither recorded nor displayed while "MAN ALIGN" is displayed.
1. Press the [CHART ALIGN] key. "MAN ALIGN" appears at right side of the
screen.
2. Rotate the trackball to shift the chart (or own ship) to the correct position.
3. Press the [CHART ALIGN] key. "MAN ALIGN" is replaced with "MAN
ALIGNED".

Canceling chart correction

1. Press the [NAV MENU] and [0] keys to show the VIDEO PLOTTER 2 menu.
2. Press the [2] key to display NAV DATA POSN in reverse video.
3. Press the [ENTER] key. MAN ALIGNED disappears from the screen.
4. Press the [NAV MENU] key to close the menu.

Correcting cursor data

Cursor position data can be corrected as follows:
1. Press the [NAV MENU] and [0] keys to show the VIDEO PLOTTER 2 menu.
2. Press the [3] key to choose OFF (no correction added) or ON (correction
added) from ALIGN +CURSOR.
3. Press the [ENTER] key.
4. Press the [NAV MENU] key to close the menu.
Note: When using AIS choose ON.
