Check the system power.

Make sure the controller is programmed to decode bar codes of the

symbology you are scanning.
Check for loose cable connections.

Make sure the symbol is not defaced.
•
Try scanning test symbols of the same code type.
•
Scanned data is incorrectly displayed on the terminal.
