Problem Cause
No sound. Incorrect input or output cable
connections.
If a DVI-HDMI cable is used to
connect the unit with an external
component, then it is necessary to
use an audio input jack for a
different input to output audio.
Speaker connections are not

The HDMI components connected
to the unit do not support the
HDCP copy protection standards.

If sound is not output, the unit may be 7
malfunctioning.
Connect the cables properly. If the problem 12, 18
persists, the cables may be defective.
Check the Speaker indicators on the front 7, 50
panel display. If the corresponding indicator
is turned off, try the following.
1) Change to a different input source.
2) With the selected sound field program,
sound is not output from that speaker. Select
another sound field program.
3) "None" may have been selected for that
speaker on this unit. Display "Speaker
Setup" in the Setup menu, and set respective
parameters to enable output from that
speaker ("Speaker Setup" → "Config").
Display "Speaker Setup" in the Setup menu 52
and adjust the volume ("Speaker Setup" →
"Level").
Balance the volume of each speaker from 52
"Level" in the Setup menu ("Speaker Setup"
→ "Level").
