10.6.3 Configuring Custom Services

Configure customized ports for services not predefined by the ZyWALL (see
page 192
for a list of predefined services). For a comprehensive list of port numbers and
services, visit the IANA (Internet Assigned Number Authority) web site.
Click the Add button under Custom Service while editing a firewall rule to configure a
custom service. This displays the following screen.

10.7 Example Firewall Rule

The following Internet firewall rule example allows a hypothetical My Service connection
from the Internet.

DESCRIPTION
Click Apply to save your customized settings and exit this screen.
Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
DESCRIPTION
Enter a unique name for your custom service.
Choose the IP port (TCP, UDP or Both) that defines your customized service
from the drop down list box.
Select Single to specify one port only or Range to specify a span of ports that
define your customized service.
Click Apply to save your customized settings and exit this screen.
Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
