Fuser
The toner image transferred on the paper is fused on the paper by heat and pressure
when the paper passes through the heat roller and backup roller.
The Telon coated heat roller is heated by a 800W or 350W internal halogen lamp,
and backup roller is heated by a 50W internal halogen lamp. The fuser temperature
is controlled according to the sum of the temperature that is not contacted with the
thermistor ground against the heat roller surface and the temperature that is detected
with the thermistor ground on the backup roller surface. There is also a thermostat for
safety purposes. When the heat roller temperature rises above a certain temperature,
the thermostat opens and shuts down the power supplied to the heater. The backup
roller unit is pressed against the heater with a press spring on both sides.
