LEAF SPRING ASSEMBLY
Refer to figures 12, 13, 14 and 15 for specific leaf spring
mounting provisions of C, K, G and P models. Figure 17
illustrates a typical U-bolt anchor plate installation with
the mandatory tightening sequence.

s e c t i o n , regarding leaf spring fasteners.
Removal
1. Raise vehicle on hoist so that tension in spring is
relieved.
' NOTE: Torque nut by running
nut to unthreaded portion
of link bolt.
2. Loosen, but do not remove, spring-to-shackle
3. Remove nut and bolt securing shackle to spring
4. Remove nut and bolt securing spring to front
5. Remove "U " bolt retaining nuts, withdraw "U "
. Withdraw spring from vehicle.
6
7. Inspect spring. Replace bushings, repair or replace
