Setting Up Video Hardware

Wiring Your HP xw8400 in an SD Configuration

Use this section to connect an HP xw8400 workstation equipped with an AJA OEM-LH board

and optional Miranda DVI-Ramp

instructions for this configuration.

Note the following about the wiring diagrams:

•

The sync source is connected to the Altinex distribution amplifier. It is critical to connect the

Altinex distribution amplifier exactly as shown in the diagram to ensure the sync works

correctly.

•

The VTR is connected to the SDI In and SDI Out 1 ports of the AJA OEM-LH board.

•

VTR control is provided through the RS-422 connection on the AJA breakout cable.

SD Configuration

Consult the following diagram to connect an HP xw8400 workstation equipped with an AJA

OEM-LH board, Miranda DVI-Ramp2 and NVIDIA Quadro FX4500G graphics board for SD

video I/O.
