You must connect all hardware peripheral devices before you boot your workstation. The

following diagrams identify the ports to which the peripherals connect on HP xw8400

workstations in an HD or 2K (2 dual-core CPU) configuration and SD (1 dual-core CPU)

configuration.

All diagrams contain a Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) network adapter located in PCI slot five. Your

workstation may be configured with an optional QuickSilver InfiniSERV 7000 adapter that

replaces the GigE adapter. On the HP xw8400 workstation the PCI slots are numbered one to

seven from top to bottom.
