c. Measure tracking error by using a ruler or other measuring device to measure gap: X,
between marks on the distance scale.
Tracking error = X, cannot exceed the following limits:
Lens
127mm
150mm
75mm
5. Make tracking discrepancy adjustments.
a. If tracking discrepancy exceeds the set limits, an adjustment is required. Verify any gross
discrepancies. Verification should be done by a second observer.
b. On the Model 600SE, comparison of the results of the tracking error measurements for
each of the three lenses should be made, in order to determine which adjustment to make.
c. Make the following parallax adjustments listed in Table 5-3 to correct tracking errors. Then
retest to assure elimination of tracking error from each of the three lenses.

Comment
This is the preferred adjustment; it is easily accessible and
provides the widest range of adjustments (Figure 5-20).
Use for near distance fine adjustment only. Use only if error
is not resolvable by infinity range adjustment and near
distance tracking error is larger than infinity error.
This is normally a factory setting (Figure 5-21)
Use for gross error in one of the interchangeable lenses
of Model 600SE camera ( Figure 5-22). Adjust until
tracking error is within allowable discrepancy limits.
