Turn distance scale with your finger, until scale reading agrees with measured distance.
Tighten lockscrew. If additional adjustment is required, insert shim under mounting base
as shown in Figure 5-16.

e. Take an aiming photograph as previously described. Scribe lines and determine if error
has been corrected, as shown in Figure 5-12.
Near Distance Tracking Test
1. Mount the camera on a tripod at the same distance as used in the aiming and framing tests
(Figure 5-17).

2. Look through the RF/VF eyepiece. Adjust the lens barrel focusing ring to obtain perfect
coincidence of the vertical tape at the center of The Reporter aiming and framing target
No. ECR-12261. Mark with a pencil the distance scale of each lens as shown in Figure 5-18.
Note: Do not move tripod or camera, until collimation test is completed.
