Music Scan; Reverse Mode - JVC MX-V508T Instruction Manual

To find the beginning of a music track during play, use the Music Scan function. Music Scan searches for blank portions that usually separate
selections, then plays the next selection.

To Find the Beginning of the Current
Selection
1. Press the 1 1 1 1 1 or ¡ ¡ ¡ ¡ or (1 ¡ 1 1 1 or ¡ 1
button on the Remote Control) in the op-
posite direction to that in which the tape
is playing.
To Find the Beginning of the Next Se-
lection
1. Press the 1 1 or ¡ 1 1 1 ¡ ¡ ¡ ¡ or ( 1 1 or ¡ 1 1 1
button on the Remote Control) in the
same direction to that in which the tape
is playing.

Reverse Mode

1. Press the REVERSE MODE.
2. To change the Reverse Mode, press the
REVERSE MODE again.

1. Searching stops at the beginning of the current selec-
tion, and the current selection starts automatically.

1. Searching stops at the beginning of the next selection,
and the next selection starts automatically.
Notes:
Music scan works by detecting a 4-second long blank
at the beginning of each selection, so it won't work
well if your tape has:
• No blank at the beginning of a selection.
• Noise (tape often used or poor dubbing) which fills
the blank with noise.
• Long, very soft passages or pauses in a selection.
The scan will detect these as 4-second long blanks.
If this happens, scan again.
Explanation/Remarks

tape.
• ( ) : After playing both sides on the tape, the Unit
will play the other tape; if there is a tape in
the other deck.
The tapes will play continuously over and
over again until it is stopped.
