WATER AND ICE
ACTIVATING SWITCHES
(GH|LD-PROOF SAFETY SWTTCH)
Disconnect the unit from power
source.
Remove those parts necessary to
expose the switches for testing.
Disconnect the leads from the switch
being tested and attach ohmmeter
l e a ds .
Activate the switch and take a
reading. lf the meter does not show
co n t i n u i t y i t ca n b e a ssu m ed th e
switch is defective. IMPORTANT: The
i c e d i sp e n si n g swi tch i s i n se rie s with
the freezer interlock switch and if the
ice dispenser switch proves to be
operative, it will be necessary to
c h e c k th e i n t e rl ock swi tch .
FOUNTAIN HEATER
NOTE: The fountain heater is only on
Slde-By-Side models.
The fountain heater is a nesistance type
heater used to evaporate any moisture
that m ight accumulat e f rom condensation.
The fount ain heater is bonded to a
self- adhesive alum inum f oil w hic h is
shaped to fit the outside of the fountain
h o u s i n g .
1. Disconnect t he unit from pow er
source.
2. Remove the ice and water fountain
assembly as discussed ear lier .
3. Disconnect the wir e connector s and
rem ove t he w ir e harness gr ommet,
Disconnect t he wat er supply tubi ng. In
some cases it may be necessary to
rem ove the door f rom the uni t and
disassemble liner and gasket. See
door, liner and gasket r emov al
sect ion.
4. Car efully remove t he foam s eal and
disconnect the heat er w ir e t erm inals .
5. P ull t he foil heat er backing f rom the
f o u n t a i n .
6. Reassemble the parts in the reverse
order of r emoval.

DISPENSER SAFETY
DOOR
The door. is designed to prevent entry
i nt o t h e i c e d i sp e n ser ch u te w h en th e
auger is rotating. Remove the screws that
mo u n t t he i c e chu te co l la r a sse mb ly. T he
door can be removed from the collar.
